This is our range of aged solid oak flooring , distressed to appear authenticaly old and reclaimed.
Due to a unique, environmentally friendly process, the patina is achieved through a natural reaction with the tannins of the oak and not synthetic colouring agents that give an artificial colour. Stain impregnates the wood surface and can range from faded grey to ebony black with intermediate colours as cognac or chocolate.
The widths of the planks vary in a balanced combination of 3 different sizes – 14/18/22 cm – creating a feeling of genuine antiquity and great warmth.
Thickness can be 2 – 1,5- 1 cm and lengths approximately 1,8 – 2,7 m
Flooring is generaly delivered unprotected to be waxed or varnished on spot after installation. An interesting option is the invisible oil coating for stain protection done in the workshop (3 layers of oil) to preserve the wood while keeping it as natural looking as possible.
*Upon request the boards can be produced in multilayer engineered wood with French oak as top layer and birch plywood, either 15 mm (15/4 mm) or 20 mm (20/6 mm) thick. The aspect/look on the surface will be the same in terms of colour and texture for both solid and engineered flooring.
