LIMONITE
Limonite is a natural hydrated iron oxide mineral found mixed in yellow earth, the one that Pliny calls limus. From limus earth derives a bright yellow okhra (ochre for English) known since antiquity as one of the most permanent colors with excellent stability in daylight.
