The art of glass mosaics is familiar to the Greeks for centuries, recalling memories from the glorious byzantine days.
Though originally composed on spot, by inserting small pieces of glass ( tesserae in Latin) in the fresh mortar, they can now be produced in thin sheets of 30×30, 15×30, and 15×15 cm and be carried away safely.
